I noticed last night that the neighbours up my rear have Christmas lights up in their garden.

Sounds like a semi-subliminal quip with perverted undertones from Captain Pugwash….

A week or so ago a single display appeared in my local Co-op with the garish branding proclaiming "It's Christmaaaaas" - no it f*cking isn't - it's f*cking September..

I find it hard to put into words how much I despise having this wholly inappropriate marketing tripe - that touts a holiday I hate not least because it's been turned into such a disgusting exercise in commercialism and crass, needless consumption - rammed down my throat progressively earlier every year. They don't even have any Halloween stuff out yet...

Genuinely tempted to make a complaint tbh..

I made the mistake of buying three bags of chocolate coins from Aldi last year,to decorate the tree,as the season progressed i began eating they were awful.This year i am buying bars of dark chocolate plus if i can find some dark and orange chocolate,not the Terry one though.

I really could not be bothered to take a photo! Maybe I will do the next time I pass it, but someone near to me has Christmas lights up in their window and garden...... in early October ffs!!!🧐

I visited a garden centre locally which had a huge animatronic polar bear Xmas display....in mid September .
Our local el cheapo shop (where its all £1.99 etc) has devoted an entire aisle to Halloween tat and two for Xmas...again, in September.
