A house on Margate seafront has had decorations up for years. They were very tatty the last time I saw them.

Despite it being August, our local Tesco now has a load of Christmas shizzle, decorations, chocolates, etc,in the "seasonal" aisle. It should be renamed the Out of Season aisle.

At an Indian* Buffet I like.

It's a little bit more expensive than usual, incidentally. Also, I guess it is more practical to have a smaller selection of their usual menu on the fliers (you can normally go Buffet or A la Carte, it isn't just a buffet).
They will always make what you want anyway (within reason, of course), they are quite good like that:

It's a nice earner for them and they will celebrate too, even if they are Hindus.

* - They are actually Nepali (well, most are anyway - It's family run), but not from where the awful floods were the other day.

Sainsbury's have Christmas in, which if course means other products are no longer stocked. Also noticed in the magazine section one on Christmas films.

I’ve never known a Christmas like 2025, it seemed to last all of December, perhaps the more crap going on in the world, the bigger the appetite there is for Christmas.

I've made a batch of Powidła (Polish plum spread) to add to my little stashette of pressies. Just want to make a few jars of apple & blackberry jam, and I'll be done. If the recent rain's gotten into the blackberries, I'll change tack and make either apple & orange jam (AKA mock marmalade), or apple & ginger jam.

Note: a couple of jars of the plum spread are for me btw, as I love it on hot buttered toast.
