Chrome advice please

Just done a fresh install of xp on an old laptop and now every time I open Chrome I get this dumbass popup.

I've tried googling, but every hit just tells me how Chrome is not going to support XP.

Does anyone know how I can kill this thing once and for all before it drives me completely nuts?

Get rid of Chrome and use mozilla Firefox, much faster.

Microsoft is not supporting XP either, so shouldn't be a surprise Google isn't.

Our old desktop stills runs XP and gets all sorts of messages like that. It gathers dust most of the time.

Red Exposure is probably a good starting place for the uninitiated.

I'd be wary of using an XP machine on the internet. Download a copy of Linux Mint and run that instead.

I see you have Adblock installed.So in that case right click the banner,select block this ad and use the slider until it disappears.

I find Chrome faster, more stable, and better at resisting nasty unwanted adware.

If you want to keep the old pc, remove XP and install Ubuntu otherwise upgrade XP, either way you need to upgrade for security/compatibility.

I'm using Chrome and XP on my Thinkpad but I don't get the message so it must be configurable. I've got the automatic updates turned off if that helps.
