Cinq plug 6 plus

Hi

Is anyone using a cinq plug 6 plug charger off a dyno hub, I'm considering buying a son 28 hub and cinq 6 and wondered if it's worth it as is works out quite expensive , I need to know how efficient it is at charging a phone on a remote bikepacking trip?

I believe with any dynamo hub you have to maintain around 12mph consistently to get any kind of worthwhile charge. I recently watched some world tourer vlogs and they were getting no more than 20 or 30 percent a day for a mobile phone. They carried powerbanks to make up the power need.

I've used that setup. It's expensive but works. On a long day's ride, it'll keep a phone alive for navigation and essentials, but don't expect a full, fast charge. It's a reliable trickle charge for true remoteness. Worth it if you're off-grid for days.
