Circular routes south of London

We are planning a short day of cycling (4-5 hours all up would be good) on the May bank holiday weekend. We are coming from Wimbledon and heading to Bournemouth in the evening so trying to find a nice circular cycle route to do on the way. Somewhere scenic and off main roads would be great (or off-road!).

We don't mind heading east a bit if part of the South Downs is suitable!

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Thanks!

Some one posted a link to a site a few weeks ago that did circular routes, can't for the life of me remember who it was or what the site was though. I know as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Cycle from Wimbledon to croydon through mitcham then head through to sutton and cheam then make your way to tolworth. Once there head up the a3 through richmond park and into southfields then down into wimbledon again. Do that twice and theres your four hours or detour from croydon through banstead and epsom then through to tolworth. If you want restaurant and or hotel advice for bournemouth let me know, i know of a few sweet places down that way, love it there.
