Obviously I don't actually want people to kill themselves but, really, we don't want them as fans.

If you're one of the people sending death threats to @sueperkins could you please do the world a much bigger favour by killing yourself.

End quote.

Breathtaking chutzpah, May's trousered tons of cash by basically giggling at a bully for five years. That's his job. Now he's shocked and horrified that the fans copy him.

clarkson attacks Rover cars, sales plummet.

clarkson shows Reliants being tipped over, a spate of copycat incidents take place.

clarkson endorses running cyclists over..

If celebrity endorsements have no affect on behaviour I guess companies waste their money having slebs in adverts?

If only that was true think how much cheaper everything could be, but then not marketing products would mean loads of companies would go bust from lack of sales.... apart from WD40 and bread, and potatoes, and fish and chips, and bicycles, and other essential stuff!

What's not to like?

Right. So you agree slebs can affect behaviour? So May has a brass neck being the sidekick to someone who promotes aggression for five years then expressing HORROR that the fans are aggressive?

Darren Laws (@01lawsda) tweeted: "May you have a very slow and painful death Oisin Tymon."

Gonzalo Robles (@grobles17) wrote: "Clarkson should have killed you Oisin Tymon, filthy b******."

Paul Richer (@PaulmRicher) said: "Oisin Tymon had to go to A&E !!! let's hope he visits the morgue VERY soon , a***wipe !!!" and "Tony Hall BBC director , I wonder if Oisin's and your head can stop a bullet !!! just wondering."

Pasan Weerasinghe (@PortelloFanatic) added: "To meet Oisin Tymon in person and feed him the very food he denied Clarkson. Then, beat him to a pulp with a rolling pin. LifeGoals."
I can't think of any other slebs who got death threats after being suggested as a presenter.

What's different about clarkson fans?

A million people signed a petition to absolve clarkson after they knew he'd assaulted a junior colleague. clarkson could be caught balls deep in a little lamb and his fans would claim it was ovine entrapment.

What I was trying to say (obviously badly) was that it wouldn't matter what the show would be if their fav presenter got sacked would still be morons

The sad point is that his "reviews" and thise on Top Gear were never actually honest

He was (allegedly) infamous for demanding cars to test drive and then threatening bad reviews if they had the audacity to ask for the car back.
.. and Top Gear was a laughing stock. It was well known in the trade that they were a bunch of cowboys and once they had a test car anyone further down the list would get a car that had been destroyed by irresponsible driving

This is a classic:

A naive owner leant the team a 1.1 million pound rare Jaguar C type to film an article on the Le Mans Race anniversary

He expected it to be driven fast and take part in filming

What he hadn't expected was the top gear team to destroy the car doing "Donuts" round an industrial car park.

When the vehicle was returned the gearbox was a write off, the crank shaft bent and the tyres worn to the canvas
