Barnet,
Whilst leafing through the pages of the forum, I hope he doesn't leaf snowdrops behind when he picks the bike up.

Update:-

The seller never did get back to me with an address to pick the bike up.
After a good few emails and a couple of ultimatums, I've given up.
I've just left negative feedback - the first time I've done so, and I hope the last.
Shame really, I was looking forward to seeing my pig in a poke...

Further update.

I have just got back from getting the bike. Indeed it is a BSO. It's been out in the garden for a while, so the pedals are somewhat seized. It does have a reasonable set of alloy wheels on it. Well worth a pound, but not a lot more...

Here's the pig in a poke. It's every bit as rusted as it looks, and the front tyre appears to be mouldy. I'm gad I didn't pay more than a pound for it. Having said that, I'm going to be rebuilding a very old MTB soon, so I may be able to use a few bits. If I'm very very lucky...

(no really I have)

The base frame says it's Chromoly and doesn't seem an entire disaster, and the cranks and canti's look salvageable if not particularly good.
