Our confined TT course is a bit hilly, which doesn't suit me and I had only done one open 10 mile event, sitting on a time of 27.17.
Entered a classified event today and got a time of 25.19, knocking almost 2 minutes off my best. I also got a second prize in my category. Missed 1st by 10 seconds.
Slowly but surely I'm working my way up the table. Mid-pointish now, rather than tail-end. There was a huge field by the way, 85 entrants including 12 youths. I don't know if its the olympic effect, but cycling certainly seems healthy at the moment!
