I think i may have asked this before without much reply or debate

But what is your cleat position?? Why?? And what type of cleat??

I was getting pain on the outside of my foot after a RETUL fit and also felt way too forward and up on the bike. So i lowered my saddle, moved it back and now feel i am in a better, more powerful position on the bike. I also moved my cleats further back and no longer get sore achilles and calves after longer rides, which means more comfort during longer rides.

So the question is was i badly fitted or did he just fit me to the standard position given by a series of numbers/degrees etc etc etc

Spd-l - pushed as far back on shoe as possible , forward position hurts my calfs .

Have read all about Retul fit and I think it over complicates things , my m8 had one done and they never did cleat position.

I think Retul like other fits will only be as good as the fitter doing the fit .

Same as Eddy. I have my cleats all the way back, otherwise I get aching calfs and can't keep pedalling.
With their current position I feel like I can ride all day and I hardly ever freewheel.
