Climbing Rose.....what should I use to tie it to trellis?

I was thinking electricions plastic ties (as they are cheap). Will they be ok or not a good idea ?

Cable ties are ok if you can get the re usable ones. If you have to cut them off at some point they just become more plastic waste. String or garden twine is more environmentally friendly.

We cut all our old innertubes up and use them for tieing up plants. They work well and they are free.
