In 1992 I bought a wind/waterproof breathable vauDe jacket for £90 which was :eek:expensive at the time.
It's done a lorra lorra miles & remains my favourite cycling coat & recently received a big dollop of TLC including NicWax Tech Wash & reproofing.

I wore it yesterday in a torrential downpour & it was joy to see the water beading off the fabric.I've certainly had value for money from it & continue to do so.
Quality costs but in the long term it prevents false economies being incurred.

Dont buy your clothes in Uruguay (you might thank me for this nugget one day...but I suspect you won't ). I had to buy a comppete load after Iberia lost my suitcase, none of it lasted a year...blooming stuff disintegrated,.
