It's a wheel with CNC (computerised) machined parts - particularly the brake surface.

It's part of the cycling world's attempt to monopolise all CXC abbreviations, having already staked our claim with CTC and CRC. :smile:

The wheel isn't CNC'd, the hub is. This means the hub was milled from one solid piece of material.
It is nothing to brag about since only the smallest cheapskate manufacturers will do this. However, the public loves scientific-sounding names and CNC (Computer Numeric Control) is right up there with organic, nano, technology, carbon, digital, titanium and gluten-free.

Good hubs are forged.
