Finished my C2C yesterday! Had a great time but underestimated the hills

So much for the prevailing westerlies! Had gale force wind in my face all of day 2 and most of day 3.
Crawleyside! I had to push the first half and that was hard enough! I admit to pushing in a few places, out of Allenheads as another example.
Hartside however wasn't too bad at all. The thought of cake and coffee drove me to the top only to find the cafe closed for a wedding. A nice tea shop in Alston made up for it though.

Here's my strava activities...

Day 1 - http://app.strava.com/rides/10019932
Day 2 - http://app.strava.com/rides/10019997
Day 3 - http://app.strava.com/rides/10020061
3 Days Combined - http://app.strava.com/rides/10066077

Don't have much time now but I'll add a link to the blog when I get around to writing it.

For a big fella, I'm rather proud of my efforts and I've made a few hundred quid for a great charity!

I've had a few pints in there before like  rookhope is only about 25 miles from my house so I might have a ride up to see what the incline has to offer
