Some of it south of Berwick is little more than a signpost pointing along the side of a field.

My two chums on CX bikes stayed upright, but I was pushing for a bit.

Wouldn't fancy it at all in the wet.

I will be in Seahouses tomorrow - hoping to ride along the coast on my roadie.
heading north ?
from Belford head west over the ridge then north via Old Hazlerigg, Holburn, Lowick Mill, to Ancroft, enjoy a bit of piece and quiet in true North Northumberland, a differant world from the madness of the coast.
Yes - both my wife's family originated from Otterburn, and mine from Newcastle so this is a big deal for me.

I've never been and who knows, we may even move there once the kids are done with school and studies.

It's not really rideable on a MTB in a couple places on the Northumberland stretch south of Berwick. For example: -

I pushed in places on 35s when I did the ride a few years ago (this was my write up - link). The surface improves after Berwick as you head inland
