Coffee Bar Bans Pushchairs.....

what a great idea. How often are you in a coffee bar with mothers or fathers barging through with their pushchair as if they deserved some sort of special treatment. Park the thing outside, you can always take the sprog in with you, if you must.

Yes they should not push through and it just sounds like bad manners you get in every demographic from kids, drivers and even coffee drinkers but surely in this enlightned age of discrimination you would think they have the same right to ease of access to coffee as you whilst ensuring their possesions are safe ?
The owner of the "cafe " in question is liable to be breaking some laws on health and safety regarding widths of asileways , ease of access etc etc if a pushchair is going to block the aisle and of course as mentioned discrimination .

I think it is fine to ban the pushchairs and thy can always use another establishment, it gives others the option if they want to enjoy their coffee amidst the pushy pushchairs or not.

We use a sling mostly unless doing a big shop or something.

Does that mean wheelchairs arnt allowed either then ? I dont know many pushchairs that are wider than a wheelchair. And if his area is anything like mine id say alienating the coffee swigging mothers who camp outside slagging there husbands off he will lose a fair amount of cash.

Well as a new father that's a coffee shop I wouldn't visit. I'm not willing to let our pushchair get stolen when left unattended outside! That and any shopping it would no doubt be loaded up with!

Stupid people should be banned, not the people that need a coffee the most!

Just read the link. If anyone is that anal about their coffee then they should probably be left to it. I don't think it's the kind of place anyone capable of rearing young would decide to hang out anyway lol

As much? Yes More than? certainly not. None the less there are parents and kids in there, just not pushchairs and the other restrictions in the article.

So lock it up outside ? We don't get to take bikes in coffee shops and they cost a lot more than buggies
