The comments below the article are worth a read, from Guardian readers and all .........
So lock it up outside ? We don't get to take bikes in coffee shops and they cost a lot more than buggies
My wife has multiple sclerosis and can't carry the baby due to weakness in her arms, so this rule would effectively ban her from the establishment on the basis of her disability. If they refused her service on these grounds I would sue them so hard their ancestors would hurt.what a great idea. How often are you in a coffee bar with mothers or fathers barging through with their pushchair as if they deserved some sort of special treatment. Park the thing outside, you can always take the sprog in with you, if you must.

You would think so , decent pushchairs are a lot of money .So lock it up outside ? We don't get to take bikes in coffee shops and they cost a lot more than buggies
ROFLAnd what about all the shopping and baby bags? Lug all that in too? But we might 'barge' past The Jogger whilst he's watching his coffee made (strictly no sugar).
You don't take bikes coffee shops in because they are a form of transport and aren't required to keep your little sprogs safe and secure.
As a new dad getting used to taking a baby everywhere this thread is starting to wind me up now, so I'm going to unsubscribe :-)
Wrong, I have off spring and many people who support the coffee bar have as well, so no need for the chip on the old shoulder. You would think so , decent pushchairs are a lot of money .
I can see this thread is degenerating into those with and without kids so is pointless and we are not talking about a vehicle which a bike is classified as but a means of transport for a baby. while we are at it should we make wheel chair owners crawl to get a cuppa ?
I used to live in Fareham!Just read the link. If anyone is that anal about their coffee then they should probably be left to it. I don't think it's the kind of place anyone capable of rearing young would decide to hang out anyway lol
Yes, but I would leave that in the supermarket, if you mean one of the two wheeled things that you drag behind you, no. Can i borrow yours?I trust The Jogger never uses a trolley for his groceries. I'm sure that at some time in his life he has used a wheeled vehicle or device to the inconvenience of some other person, so his apparent support for this establishments policy is hypocracy as an excuse for trolling.

Well actually, if you read the link you will see there is a moher with child in sling or something...........you need to be capable of reading the link before you put people down for their choice of coffee bar relating it to their abilities to rear children, something I take i you are not an expert in if you as you have said a number of times, are a new parent.Just read the link. If anyone is that anal about their coffee then they should probably be left to it. I don't think it's the kind of place anyone capable of rearing young would decide to hang out anyway lol
Is that an admission?Troll alert!
