My afternoon helping a friend's band out. Audience consisted of about 9 nutters at it's height!

At home now warming my feet up. The fire is on but @Almartino is still in shorts. It's the school holidays and therefore a matter of principle!

Honestly, it sounds like a few people need to have a word with themselves - it's August! I'm sat typing this in shorts and a T-shirt, with the door open watching the rain bounce down. It's a well known fact that the heating doesn't go on until after Bonfire Night. ;)

Freezing to death. Gotta go and play my cornet on Wetherby bandstand this afternoon. Deep joy!

That's the spirit! :okay:

Was the ice cream van there? I've been disappointed on my last few visits to The Wilderness at Wetherby that the ice-cream vendor has been nowhere to be seen and I've had to have my emergency flapjack instead.

We were out visiting family today and returned at about 5pm. Mrs S declared that she was cold, and changed into "winter dress and leggings" and a fleece for good measure. About 10 minutes later, declaring herself still to be cold, she lit the fire......
