Collected my new trek valencia today

So my wife can have her Halfords special back and I can fly like the wind.

I've only ridden it 7 miles so far but first impressions are pretty good. 700c wheels make a HUGE difference. clipped a car mirror in traffic which was a bit silly of me but got home in no time and the gears coped with the tiny incling on the way home no problem.

The only problem I've encountered so far is that I've had to mount the lock on the front fork, think I may just stick it in my pannier tomorrow.

I also felt like I stood out like a sore thumb with my new shiny bike and accessories, I may take a longer route across tooting common to get a bit of mud splatter going.

One final thought is that despite being rubbish when I tested the bike, Evans cycles actually came good today!

A motor cyclists complimented it this morning. I never look at my watch when I leave home but think I've got about 5 mins off my 7.5 mile commute.
