Colnago Strada SL

I'm looking for my first road bike preferably below £1000 but as well as spec and how it rides I must like the look of the bike as well otherwise I probably won't want to ride it!

Most say going for a alloy frame at this price point is better than a lower end carbon and there's not much difference in weight most of the time so I've got my eye on a Colnago Strada that Wiggle have on offer for a smidge over £800.

Anyone got one who can persuade me either way?
