More of a cabaret act than an actual comic. End of the pier sort of stuff.

Probably sums him up for me, I didn't find him that funny, but I also didn't want to put my foot through the TV when he was on.

I genuinely thought he'd died years ago, as one of those mid 80s comedians before alt comedy took over, I always assumed he was from that pre war generation of comics brought up on the old music hall scene
