Comfort/Gents Bike

I'm going to cannock in an hour or so to do some cycling, and my Dad insists on hiring a comfort bike since they are cheaper. How can I talk him out of this?

Also it says Gents/Ladies for the comfort bikes, does Gents mean mens, or old mens bike?

What would be the pros/cons for having a comfort bike instead of a single suspension mtb?

It'll be more upright, and probably not as light.

TBH, if he doesn't ride a lot, it might be a better choice.

It's not necessarily a bad thing, Sam.

There is nothing worse than having to try to keep up with someone who is fitter than you, and on a faster bike. You'll still have a good time on a comfort bike, bring your proper offroad one when you go on your own.
