Community Cycling Clubs ....anyone know?

Anyone a member of or know about CUK's 'Community Cycling Club' ( CCC) initiative please?
Especially interested in finding out from any members of such, what a CCC does and who it is 'for'.
CUK website less than helpful.

I’m afraid I don’t know anything about these, but I’m curious. How did you come to hear of them without gaining an understanding of what they are, who they are for, or where you can find out more??

Article on page 14 of October Cycle mag.
Gives a link to CUK site but once you get there there's very little beyond reportage about extant CCCs.
I've emailed CUK to ask.
