Commute on a Raleigh Twenty

    I had a Raleigh 20 when I was at school. I cycled to stables after school and at weekends. The route was about 4 miles each way with uphills about a mile and a half long in both directions. Never had any problems but didn't know any better.

    You imagine? :rolleyes: They're better on rough surfaces than you might imagine if you've good and fairly wide tyres, but dents in any road are more troublesome than with larger wheels, so I'd avoid the cobbles.

    They really are go almost-anywhere bikes and very comfortable.

  4. I used to use a Raleigh Twenty between buildings at work, and security patrols on parking decks. Silent, compared to a vehicle, great for arriving on scene when shenanigans were afoot.
