We've all been there. Once the adrenaline has worn off, I've certainly felt that bit of regret about how I've handled things.

Yeah, some of us recall how you vilely mistreated three debutantes from Basingstoke on their way to a ball for having the temerity to cross the road in front of you. Shame on you, Bollo.

I just knew you'd be along preaching your vile, socialist cager and ped-hugging nonsense!

In fairness to me, I stayed calm during that one and was only guilty of chucking a match on the young darling's already tinder-dry temper.

I wouldnt feel to bad, I am much more agressive and am running out of places to bury Range Rover Sport drivers.

Riding to far out ? not as far as his car is.

I think the trouble is that the more people spend on motor vehicles (and sometimes bikes) they seem to think it gives them more rights and priveliges on the road, they may be able to show off and intimidate more but it does not confer any more rights, a person on a £79.99 Halfords MTB has the same rights a 60k Range Rover driver, conversely they should all follow the same rules.

Sometimes drivers seem to think cyclists are some lower form of life, paupers, only riding the bike cos they cant afford a car, we could afford to go and buy a Range Rover Sport, cash but I wouldnt be that daft, trouble is, unlike car drivers us cyclists have no way of competing in the flash stakes, thats why a lot of people wont cycle as it affects there ego, it takes them out of the pecking order even though, secretely they admire our freedom which is sometimes manifested in jealousy based aggression, I personally have nothing to proove so dont feel the need to wear my realtive worth on my sleeve, BMW man really worries about such matters.

Its not all one side, Cyclists are capable of playing the victim, not abiding by the rules and being so self righteous its sickening.

Its nice to not give a fcuk.

I've quite good recently until this mornings run in with a cabbie. Waiting at lights me on the left of him. The lights change and he sits there, I wait patiently then decide enough is enough and head off. He promptly swings left in from of me so I felt abliged to slap his cab and tell him exactly what i thought of him.

He seem ed surprised when I shouted "Call yourself a professional driver?", "I am" he shouts back. I then asked him if that's the case why the fcuk is he turning left at an ahead only junction with no indication to boot.

To top it all 400m later I had a puncture.

I find been beeped at close range is extrememly annoying - like someone sneeking up on you and poking you in the ribs. Short circuits rational brain fuction and guarenteed to put you on aggro immediately, really dislike people just resorting to it with no thought.

Mr M reckons I have got a lot more Rage since I started cycle commuting - when I'm not on the bike as well - like yelling at people to 'bl**dy indicate!' out of the passenger window of his car (I can't drive xx() or slapping the bonnet of a range rover parked across a pedestrian crossing. I don't swear. Much. Depends how close they were to killing me - a bit of language is totally justified at that point.

Just today I yelled at Range Rover Woman in the station car park who cut me up on the way in, then her stupid kid opened the door inches from my face, and THEN she reversed out again, far too fast, nearly mowing me down in the process. And I was WALKING.

Late for work? GET UP EARLIER!!!!!!

Come on guys lets not generalise. Remember BentMikey once drove a BMW....

Yeah, but not a gold one FFS! That has to be about the most negative style points I can imagine, not to mention a gibbering ape of a driver.

You call that red mist? You must be positively Ghandi-esque the rest of the time!

That's what surprised me I am usually very calm, my wife complains as she hasn't heard me raise my voice in the 7 years we have been together (apparently it's no fun arguing with me).

I think I might have taken some of the tension of work related stuff out on him

This is a bit of a confession and not something I am proud of.

Don't really know why but I got into a huge row with a driver the beeped at me as he passed. It was on an urban dual carrigeway and I was about a metre out from the kerb in the left lane with queuing traffic about 200m ahead, which is where I caught him up again and starting filtering up the middle.

He then opened his window and starting remonstraing with me for riding too far out and holding him up. Next thing I know is the red mist descended  and I continued the argument with him for around a mile as the queue moved along and I stayed alongside at his window.

I have never done this before and I didn't make a rational arguement (can't really remember what I said), so I apologise to anyone else in Edinburgh that has trouble with a gold BMW as it is probably my fault

'tell the ****er to feck off plain and simple then ride away int' the sunset with the smokng gun' !

LOL, it was a 528i, and I drove it better than my other car. More relaxed, more tolerant and more patient. I'm not sure that's saying very much though.
