Since the coal mines shut we have no coal left to power our trains.We save our coal for warmth now.

Just try burning some of the small denomination notes for warmth, £5 and £10 are ok but £20 are best.

I put decking down from B&Q about 5 years ago. I treat it with decking oil every year and it still looks good.

I'd rather concrete slabs but it's raised and the walling and steps will get annoying.

Lucky git...we don't have a fireplace, so we have to lick the whippet

A sharp left hand jab followed by a solid right usually works - that's the combination 't missus uses anyway

It's got to be teak or iroko and get the crew to scrub the decks daily before sunrise to ensure longevity.

We set ours alight, lay it out, strip down to our shorts and sleep on it.

Never known anyone use hardwood decking, don't ever think I've seen it either

I've used ipe hardwood decking to clad a small shed. (ipe is pronounced "ee-pay"). It's not cheap but it's good stuff.

I'd go for the Ipe, the description puts it similar to Iroko ('orrible stuff) but without the stink.

I put in about 15 sq m and that was £900 for timber alone. That included the joists, and using some of the decking timber for raised beds. We had about 70 2.4m decking boards and 10 3 metre boards.
