Compression socks?

I have to wear compression stockings because of life-term condition of having leg ulcers and varicose veins. I have to wear them every day then I don't get ulcers again!!!!

Now, the socks I wear are a sandy colour and I'll want to wear shorts sometimes when I'm out cycling.

Shall I just wear shorts and forget what I look like?

That might be the case, but mine are measured to fit tightly and they were on prescription.

No I can't do that. Or at least I'm not going to try. I could try buying black ones, but they only come in this colour from this company, and all the others......well..... I have an allergic reaction to.
So I think I'm at a dead loss here, so maybe I'll just have to cycle looking like a twit. But once I get used to them, I won't care what anyone else thinks.

You speak for yourself, in my mind only those with baggy shorts and black leggings look like twits, from my limited research many others think the same.

Wear padded tights rather than shorts, then your legs will be black

(without MTB shorts over the top as you will look like a twit as stated)

Yes, he'll look like a twit to other cyclists in more conformist road kit, but to most of the world, he'll look just as twitty as all the other cyclists.

And to me personally, much less twitty than someone in pro team colours that is straining against a wobbly belly.

Does anybody actually look at somebody on a bike and think they look a twit? Maybe they do because I often see somebody not on a bike and think what a fat lazy twit.
