I received this e-mail off 2 totally unconnected friends yesterday / today.
They both say it is a genuine warning so I thought I would cut and copy it here, just in case....

My auntie has discovered the joys of sending E-cards recently.
I'd better ring and tell her she'll bring down civilisation if she's not carefull.

I get e-cards from I know not who. I always delete, never open. So if the auntie sent one I'm afraid I would never know.........

Dont ever do these things - e-cards are well past there sell by date...

Anyone who can click as far as an e-card could send a basic email if not longer.....

Ah, the good old virus warning scam... a grand way of wasting bandwidth as people frantically mass e-mail all their friends.

This is just a new flavour of an old virus hoax.

Edit: I see a few others are as sceptical as I am...

It's the 1st time I've ever seen one of these types of e-mail so, although slightly sceptical, I thought I'd take note of it.

Am I now officially classified as a Dufoss ? If so I will change my user name !!

    Not as bad as some!

One a couple of years ago gave instructions on how to delete files from the registry and thus crash your own computer!

E-Cards and PDFs are the latest way of spamming.

As above if you don't recognise, don't open.

For me, getting a virus is so maddening and as a result I've sometimes ditched e-mails from people when they were genuine ones. I think death is too lenient a punishment for those that make and send out virus onto the internet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
