I didn't realise these bike forums were so exciting, got the impression that Bike Radar was the worst. Not so, found them all really friendly, no aggro. Thought this one was even less contentious, I must be doing something wrong - never been abused, upset or anything - please help, feeling left out

Going back a bit to Shane v Pale Rider..

Both films center around a community of laborers united against a gang of crooked entrepeneurs trying to control and take advantage of them. In both, a stranger suddenly appears whom no one knows, but who is an experienced gunfighter and sympathizes with the townspeople against the gang. In both, the protagonist's child idolizes the stranger, and his wife is attracted to him. In both, the gang kills a member of the community who confronts them; and, the stranger ultimately avenges the town. In both, the stranger rides off with the child calling after him.

Cinema consumes itself even more in Unforgiven, two of the graves are marked "Leone" and "Siegel."

I find the whole hollywood good guy/bad guy story-telling formula to be bile inducing.

It can be, but depends how it is done.

Clint Eastwood, in his westerns and cop films, tells stories better than most.

And to drag this back towards topic, the film - like the forum - is entertainment, and should be treated as such.

I have made no secret of the fact that I had testicular cancer, losing them in the process to the cancer,
I didn't know this, not that it has anything to do with me it's your personal business. But you should not be put off a forum by any bullies, I bet they would not say what they are saying if we were all in a pub together. It's amazing how brave some people get behind the anonymity of a keyboard.

Lets just remake the "Clint Eastwood films" with River Song in the lead!

I have said many wrongly chosen and badly worded things on here in the past without thinking about the consequences. Fortunately I have owned up to them being wrong (even if I still believe in what I said in my mind) and either edited my posts or had them deleted.
I have been threatened with being banned because what I have said has been hurtful and as a result, I now look at what I am posting very carefully.

I have a big mouth on me (yes I know we are on the internet) and tend to say things without thinking about the consequences (recently getting me in trouble with the law). I have bold views on life and especially with regards to right and wrong, but I am now looking at things in other peoples perspectives and trying to be careful.
I dont want people to take offence to what I say and I definately dont want to fall out with people, I enjoy the attention (sometimes a little too much), but need to take a step back every so often.

Maybe this is something @classic33 could take on. I know you might think that they are right, but other people will think they are right. I wont go trailing through the whole forum trying to find what has been said because I am just not that anal. But what I will say is just take care with what you post. I have learnt to just stay quiet. I dont post videos on here anymore because it gets people backs up, I dont post personal opinions about matters which could affect people because it can get me banned.

I wouldnt like to see anyone getting banned, but from personal experience @Shaun gives users plenty of times to right their wrongs and after 2/3 warnings you are still getting it wrong, then you should be banned. There is nothing wrong with being right, but you must be right for the correct reason and not just because you have your head stuck up your own arse in terms of your personal opinions on matters.

@classic33 please dont leave.
