So I go bike packing on a gravel bike equipped with one by gearing, disc brakes and tubeless tires. As if that wasn't contentious enough I also use a Garmin to navigate, blimey I'm an argument waiting to happen! At least the frame is steel not Carbon

Someone recently referred to my steel commuter with downtube shifters, leather handlebar grips; and V-brakes as "high tech".
As in: "Well it's easy for you to commute by bike when it's a high tech one like that".
Modern cars are the same, when was the last time you saw a car advert which mentioned anything about how well the car actually drove. J - Should DI2 be programmed in JavaScript or Java and will you need to open a web browser to change gear?
It is interesting how genuinely divisive tech on bikes can be, which was really the reason for my slightly tongue in cheek post. Its probably too OT and earnest for this thread though. If I get bored this evening I might kick it off.
