I have a new bike on order that will be fitted with Continental City Contact tyres. They come with Continental's 'Safety System Guarantee'. This is as follows:
"In the event that a foreign object punctures or cuts into your tyre despite our safety system breakdown protection we'll replace the tube and tyre at absolutely no cost to you."

Does anyone have any experience of this tyre and this guarantee? On paper it seems almost too good to be true.

had left a brass drawing pin out for me (changing tubes at -4deg isn't much fun). The tyres are now just over 8100 miles old and I make that about 7-7500 miles between p'tures thats good enough for me. Handling wise I really like them too (but thats also got something to do with the bike). I was a bit skeptical about their width (37mm) and planned to replace them when they'd worn out but they haven't as yet and if anything now I'd say the width makes little difference.
