Soon everybody will be camera'ed up to the nines and nobody will dare even think of committing an offence for fear of public retribution on YouTube

Since some members on here appear to advocate helmets for pedestrians no doubt we'll soon all be wearing one throughout our daily lives .

You're actually not far wrong...

the only thing that got me about this video is that her jacket is edged with blue and grey chequers which imo is far to close to impersonating a police officer.

I had to take my other half to the minor injuries clinc the other day to get a 2 inch cut in his scalp stitched (well they stapled it actually). He hit a tree.

While running.

We need helmets for joggers, I tell you!! It is the only way!!!

Seriously, and on topic, it sounds as though the horse riders didn't feel they were getting a lot of support from the police over poor driving either.

My other half rides horses a lot, including on the road, and some of the overtakes she gets are as stupid as the ones we get on bikes - might have to lend her my helmentcam. It takes a particularly stupid driver to get that close to a ton of potentially-scared animal being ridden by a person armed with a whip...

As an aside, riding horses is great, and as a cyclist you'll find that you've already got the leg-strength and balance to make learning a bit easier. Give it a try if you get the chance!
