Then use the yankee

They used to stamp PZ or PH on the bits but now they don't seem to bother on some of them.happens to the best of us - but that said, screwdriver bits munging tends to be knackered kit (or the easily done phillips/pozi goof)
I've still got one of those too. The soft bit of flesh between your thumb and index finger would always get caught in the gear mechanism. Also, they were blooming useless at drilling holes.I pre drill ..http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-C...933769?hash=item58cd075c89:g:VZkAAOSw9r1V8e8C

And I bet the Zimmerman are still wearing there leather waist coats .Over here in Germany though, a lot of 'handwerkers' swear by Metabo. A lot of the builders markets though only stock good old German brands! I rarely see DeWalt stuff here.
"Handwerkers"? "Leather waist coats"?And I bet the Zimmerman are still wearing there leather waist coats .
How about a Ryobi One+?
Choose the battery to suit your needs, and the option to add lots of other tools, including stuff for the garden.

one + from me for the one + range! (see what i did there... yes, it was truly terribleI'll have look into that. Thank you.
I'm veering towards Ryobi too. For £150 you can get a drill/driver, a hammer drill, two batteries and a charger. The problem is that I really don't want or need the hammer drill. I have far too many tools already. Anybody want to buy a bare 18v Ryobi hammer drill, without batteries or charger?I run 2 Ryobi drills and they get used a lot every day as machine polishers, I cannot remember when I bought them but will certainly replace them with the same.
Great piece of kit.
drill/driver,
"Screw" driverI've missed something here. I understand the drill part - but what's the driver part?![]()
Ooooh - that's clever. How does it "know" when the screw is tight? And what of screws that are tight to screw in?"Screw" driver![]()
