The Fridays used to occasionally do the ill advised dash through the Rotherhithe tunnel.
I suspect the sewage tunnel goes directly beneath the Rotherhithe Tunnel.

They do that for tourists in Slovenia . I rode my touring bike with dynamo lights through the old mine tunnels, led by former miners. Highly recomended and worth the trip to Mežica.
