Excessive peeing could also be kidney disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism or a UTI. Better look a fool at the vets than overlook a potentially serious problem.
But yes, some human foods are pretty high in salt, so really shouldn't be a regular thing.
As @fossyant says, at least you don't have to deal with behavioural piddling that us feline owners sometimes have to get to the bottom of. A friend of mine lost SO many toasters...

Dogs do need some salt but too much can be extremely dangerous for them. The problem is dogs will eat just about anything they can get in their mouth... with the exception of medication 🙂

I'd avoid the processed chicken slices as well. Maybe just go to dog treats. How much are you feeding him of the 'treat'.
I was giving him a whole packet of medium sliced 'Tesco Finest' ham. Six slices some nights!🙄 I gave it him over a 3 or 4 hour period, a bit of a slice at a time, not the whole packet in one go.
