Great story. Total rubbish of course, but still, a great story!

Re the United Nations, it wasn't of course the The United Nations, which was only set up later (I've learned...I didn't know before) but apparently Roosevelt started using the expression as early as 1942, and Churchill bought into it, so it was kind of around for awhile before D Day.
