Couriering a heavy item

Hi, I'm looking to get an idea how much it will cost me to courier a rotovator from Salisbury to Crowland (South Lincs). Has anyone a company they'd recommend for the job which won't cost the earth? I want the machine collected from the vendor and dropped off at my house and I think it weighs in the region of 45-50 KG.

Try Shiply. It's like E-Bay for parcels, with you putting your parcel up and couriers bidding for it. I've used it once (shipped a bike to Bristol for about £25) and it seems to work. Don't rush into accepting the first bid you get though.

I think the first bid I had for my Bristol package was about £80!
