Hi Folks,
I'm of up to Coventry for a course and I'm cycling there, is the Ringway a No No ?
My current route has me coming in from Binley on the A428, and I need to get over to near Earlsdon.
Have a look at this route

Takes you into Earlsdon, the little short section of ring road is on one of the slip roads, a section of slip road I cycled daily when I lived in Earlsdon and worked in Binley, not on the main part of the ring road it self. The bigger roundaboutes are all ok to cycle just take care. The ring road itself can be cycled, I've done it many times, but most of the time there are nicer routes to use, I tend to mainly use the slip roads and roundabouts.
Whats up with the fonts this morning? The font size keeps changing.
Part of that route is on my commute - the bit past Binley woods to Binley where I turn off to Walsgrave, Its ok, not had too many problems there - the 585 bus drivers can be rather bad though sometimes. I must say its the least favourite part of my commute, but the rest is mostly country lanes so more likely to encounter rabbits than cars at the time I cycle in.
I've never heard it called 'The RingWay' - everybody calls it 'The Ring Road'!
I never fancied cycling on it. When cycling from the railway station to visit my family, I always used the subways to go under it (there are cycle lanes through them).
