Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
I have searched online for cycling information several times and found it posted by some guy who calls himself ColinJ on a site called CycleChat...

It is slightly worrying!

My favourite instance of this was some years back when you were complaining that you kept getting the Yates brothers mixed up. I had a handy mnemonic to help you (Simon won in Spain). I found the original post where I got it from. It was by you.

I'm sure Brompton did a recall a while back for FAG square taper BBs failing...
Anything will break if it lasts long enough.

That overload + riding over a pothole can break a wheels axle ok, those are clear reasons, but a bicycles leg pushed pedal > bottom bracket axle, it's hard to think of another reason than cost-cutting minimalistic design with a safety factor derived from sales figures.

I worked with a Canadian lad at Covent Garden Cycles many years ago. He formerly worked at Syncros. He sold me a Syncros Titanium bottom bracket that i installed on my Rocky Mountain. Very cheap, and with the proviso that i didn't come crying to him if it failed. He'd pulled it, with a handful of others, from the Syncros manufacturing rejects bin.

Two years later it failed as I pulled away from a traffic light. I sent it back to Syncros in Canada and they warrantied it!
