You know, the ones where some wanabee marketing whizz thinks they can use the news for yet another mail trying to flog you something. Showing how hip and with the bleedin zeitgeist they are.

Got this earlier today.

It's all come flooding back, keep riding with our flood deals!

Pains me to post it as it was from Polaris, whose products and service i rate.

Ffs people have had their homes and businesses wrecked.

At least one person has died.

What on earth were they thinking?

Yes, that’s pretty poor taste!

That's pretty bad, but I spotted an even worse one a few days ago...

I saw a suggestion that Ariana Grande's latest song/tour (whatever - can't remember what/where!) was "going down a bomb"...

In case that doesn't ring any bells - read THIS!

They're rapidly becoming that B&M of cycling.

The email adverts are often clickbaity, junky & the website is increasingly naff. Some of the homebrand stuff is little more than ebay tat with added markup.

Still do good bikes. They need to watch out before they become synonymous with naff marketing and tat.

Curious that you mention them.
Seem to recall seeing some jobsworth brand stuff on the polaris site as promos.
And polaris mails do seem to have changed over the last few years.

Is there some sort of link between them these days?

I stress that I have never seen any tasteless moronic promo mails from planetx - bad jokes, gimmickry, copywriters on substances maybe, but nothing objectionable.
