Thanks. They are very delicate grasses (if they are grasses), with a cloud like appearance. I’ll try again, maybe with a mix of wildflowers amongst the grasses.

FWIW, I'm discovering that the new OM camera is a different beast from the trusty old Sony - it's going to be a very good camera to keep with the bike for quick scenic tat, and it's great for the macro stuff, but the lack of much zoom capability reduces some creative capability, and its HDR is nothing like as good on colours. I suspect the OM will be the default when I'm riding, the Sony when I'm walking.

I was going to try a wide view of this extensive area of yellow flowers, but couldn’t find a good angle and only the rooftops of the farm buildings were showing. Quite like the odd one out look and got a white butterfly version too.

That’s something (avoiding horizontal lines) I’ve not really thought about.
Those beach huts are a photographic gift, although the au naturel wood one would look nice with a coat of pastel pink.

All too often horizontal-ish lines break the composition into separate chunks at the expense of the integrity of the whole... things like long hedges or a wide field, with nothing breaking the lines. Obviously they can be used knowingly as a feature (e.g. lots of stone walls lined up), but I've jettisoned so many photos that just don't hang together because of a chunky horizontal 'break'.
