I'd quite like to swap 5 juggling cyclists for 5 badly driven angry cars please.

That's precisely the attitude I was trying to counter I'm afraid.

Next thing folk will be saying it's OK for drivers to use their hand-held phones (I think there was a case recently where one driver had been effectively juggling two) - for tis just the same.

You may want to edit your OP to mention that the bicycle measured 4x2 metres and weighed over a tonne, because I don't think that was obvious from what you said originally.

Hey Blue Hills, you're lucky you didn't come across this chap on your travels

Ta for that betty but clearly he/she is in a car park, not on one one of London's busiest roads with a continuous chain of buses driven by generally excellent drivers having to look this way and that, all too conscious of the fallout if they are involved in an incident. Most of the cyclists fine and where they should be but others not so fine to put itmildly.
