Ben Stokes is in hot water again.

Regardless of the individual circumstances, how does he keep getting into fights in night clubs.

The better question was with such media scrutiny and an agreed midnight curfew after the Ashes fall-out in place, why couldn't the pair of them be content with having team beers in the pavilion changing rooms and going back to the team hotel? Subsequently heading out to a West end nightclub was always asking for trouble.

I understand they were relatively innocent parties in the fracas, the young Sarries player attempted to lamp Atkinson and the ECB security guy took a punch trying to stop him. But sadly they shouldn't be putting themselves in that situation.

Because they wanted to go out? And they're adults? And because it hasn't impacted their performance on the pitch?

They COULD get upto all sorts behind closed [pavilion] doors that was far more damaging to their health, and possibly that of others. This way is at least transparent and honest!

When you consider Stokes has history(as does Brooks, Duckett...) of off field, drink related incidents and they've been told not to break curfew then frankly they were stupid to do it.
Even if entirely innocent parties in latest incident it looks terrible and now focus is on the cricket team for wrong reasons after a decent win against NZ.

Like it or not this is social media age. What players could get away with decades ago no longer applies. As for being adults, exactly!

I was pretty relaxed about Stokes' first nightclub fracas, thinking that he'd learn. He didn't. Instead, he got himself, along with Atkinson, excluded from the 2nd NZ test, thereby weakening the team's chance of success (though I'm thinking more about Atkinson than Stokes here). That is not a tenable position for a captain.
