What is your favourite type of cycling, To spectate or participate in?
For me, I cycle for shizzles and giggles only, I've done one sportive, in over 35 years of riding, and that was only to help out a cycling buddy, who needed a bit of support. What floats your cycling boat?

To participate them most things apart from TTing. It's all just for fun whether its a leisure ride a sportive or a race, if it wasnt fun i'd do something else.

To watch then it varies - in person then love watching track racing, but the most exciting events in the stadium (like the points race) often dont televise well, whereas road racing is the other way about and better to follow on TV than on the road side if you want to know whats going on rather than just be there for the atmosphere and spectacle.

I just like riding ! TT appealed to me as its a solo effort and im enjoying doing it . I guess it gives me a reason for going out riding , not that i need or care for a reason :okay:

Audax and big long rides on my own, multi day tours.

But then like @Cuchilo, I'm loving the solitary effort of the tt's right now, plus you can just race yourself.

Love TT's to ride, nothing like a personal test to the limits. Starting to get into road racing which is good fun. Never liked crits, just too much chance of getting taken out by someone else, especially on some of the narrow courses round my way.

In no particular order:
Club riding. Not too serious, cake stop for a blether, good old spank / dish out some hurt on the return leg, nectar.
TT race - you and the clock, full gas. Always go off too hard and regret it later.
Sufferfest - Tour of Sufferlandria is particularly ace.

Cross for racing, Group rides where we all take a turn, long days myself with new cafés to find. TT's for personal challenge/make up the numbers because I will never beat our club's pointy helmet crew.
