It is, I didn't make it shorter. It's a 6600 from merlincycles. I have another one on order KMC x10sl.

I should receive my Croix De Fer in May with some alterations already on the bike, Specialized phat tape, brooks saddle, SKS mudguards and XT pedals. Later in the year I may look into buying some better wheels.
Weight is not a huge issue as it is alot lighter than my main commuter, a tourer.

I can't recommend the kinesis ones enough. There isn't any thing close price wise.

Tried to get one of these from Madison as a patrol bike.. no luck. They are fantasstic allround bikes from what I have heard!

I went out for a 60 mile ride on it the other day with my carbon friends. Kept up with them, but they are all getting old...

Lovely build! I have a 2012 stock model and love it!

Did you cut the stays on front mudguard? I had to put mine on luggage holes (the front ones) as they were too long otherwise.
