We had a discussion a while back about anagrams of words that weren't actually given in the clue. It's not done in ''proper'' cryptic clues. Not that my mind was ever going to kick itself into gear anyway tonight....Ding! As that was the first clue I'd ever done, how was it?
Generator of confusion early in the week. (6)
The Yorkshire. Do you listen to I'm Sorry I haven't a Clue?
In my defence, yer honour, it was only one word that got anagramised into one other word.We had a discussion a while back about anagrams of words that weren't actually given in the clue. @jefmcg, the Yorkshire thing was a nod to Barry Cryer and his entries in the Uxbridge English Dictionary, all of which seem to relate to something from Yorkshire and begin with "T' " (although I can't think of any right now ).
Well known down these parts (or my parts anyway). There's a Glebelands in Ambridge and of course everyone listens to The Archers. Is "glebe" a well known word? I was not to this manor/manner born, but I have never heard it (except as a suburb of Sydney - probably not unconnected with this usage).
Space station orbits one click at a time (1,1,1)Still a couple of space station clues up for grabs. An easy one, and one that's virtually solved already...
When I first looked at this clue I remembered that clicks sometimes used to refer to kilometers. This quickly led me to K.K.K. but I doubt that the space inside members' heads amounts to a station...Space station orbits one click at a time (1,1,1)
Is that the one that is 'easy'?

That's just empty space. When I first looked at this clue I remembered that clicks sometimes used to refer to kilometers. This quickly led me to K.K.K. but I doubt that the space inside members' heads amounts to a station...
Oh, and then I gave up!
Doesn't count if I'm right, because all I know is it matches the clue word count
ISS?
well, there aren't many permutations ... Only one makes any senseRight station. Now "orbit" it.
