Just to add: What you are asking for is for solvers to work out an anagram from synonyms of the words in the clue. Many synonyms for each word, and you can't anagram all the combinations which might run into thousands. I would suggest that that is almost impossible unless you got very lucky with crossing letters. Synonyms or anagrams on their own are fair, such as:
Answer is imaginary cyclist called Crazy Glen - clue: 'version of Mad Valley' = fair (synonyms)
Pull these to stop berserk vale being confused = fair (anagram)
Horrible clues, I know, but I hope they clarify what are generally accepted fair play rules
