What are your thoughts people? I'm a roadie really but I said to myself at the beginning of the year that I'd like a reasonably good MTB.

Any other suggestions for around this price range? Am only interested in trails, don't want a cross bike so only looking for a Hardtail. The amount above for this bike above is the absolute maximum I'm prepared to spend and only then because it's 0% finance....

Looks good to me. I had a 2009 Cube Attention -which was a lower spec than the Acid.. It rode brilliantly and was well equipped for its' price.

No worries!...... you may save yourself quite a bit of money or get a higher specification by going for an older model. Often it's only the colour scheme that changes - but older bicycles are heavily discounted..

Yes, agreed but unfortunately can't find the kind of thing I would be looking for with a 0% finance option so may have to be a newer model if that makes sense. Thanks for the link, I shall have a browse.

I have a Trek 6500 for the winter / messing about with although i prefer roadies

Haldon Forest (just down the M5) makes a great day out.

I like the cube.

Not sure of your bike shop but The bicycle chain (bridgewater) does 0% finance on Giants and Trek bikes and isnt a million miles from you.
