No, you misunderstand, or I didn't make myself clear. I got it for £1k on cycle to work. It's a Peloton Race in a Peloton SL frame..... The LBS owner rang me as he could get hold of these at the Race price.
The SL has two components different... Ultegra front mech and Ultegra Shifters, but the SL costs £165 more than the Race. That means discerning punters are pre-ordering the Race and it's getting on for sold out already. The SL is not selling well because people will put up with 105 front mech and shifters to save £165.
Therefore there are more SL frames that Race frames available. To sell them off Cube have built them up in Race Spec and sold them at Race prices. Those of us in the know get the SL framed Race before everybody else, in what I think is a nicer colour scheme.
Ring your LBS and ask them if they can get hold of the SL framed Race for you.
