How can they say this car played the starring role ? They wrecked at least 5 per episode.

To be honest, anyone who dresses their Dodge Charger up to look like this, should be locked up

There are a few replicas around

This one is generally (.......................) in the Oil Can Café, at Hepworth (near Jackson Bridge)

Only a baby though, with the '383'

And, so I'm told, a T-PAC, after revellers waved plastic guns out of the windows

I'll take it back - anyone who dresses a Morris Marina up like that and (manages to) jumps ramps, deserves my undying admiration

375 was the oft-quoted figure

When they made the original cast film, part of the script was to re-commison the General, who'd been left in a barn. or field
The crew found a TV car, in the Warner Brothers yards, & showed it 'as found' - filthy, faced, tatty, etc......
I have the film somewhere on a VHS tape, along with the secondary film 'Hazzard In Hollywood'

When I saw the title I thought this was going to be an S&M thread.
Sorry to shatter your dreams............

It was one of Rosco P Coltranes phrases

James Best was almost in 'Smokey & The Bandit', in Jerry Reeds role, but had signed up for 'Dukes', when Burt Reynolds asked him

Given that the 'P' was for Pervis...............................

Co-incidentally, I was watching an old episode of M*A*S*H the other evening, & Sorrell Booke/Boss Hogg was in it (as General Barker)

Given the limitations of what BL laughingly called suspension on the marina, I suspect that jumping would have been possible, but actually landing it and driving away would have been more of a challenge.

I remember my mates Marina going round (most of) a corner while the front wheels carried on happily in a straight line.....

Postman friend of mine had a Marina and used to throw all the meter mail (circulars) in the back instead of delivering them. Unfortunately the window seals leaked and the thousands of leaflets absorbed the moisture, rotting through the floor and collapsing it spectacularly on a dual carriageway.
