Plains, Trains and Automobiles......... with the genius of John Candy bless his cotton socks and of course Steve Martin. They are both trying to get home for Christmas (Thanksgiving) and have a few difficulties along the way. The start is class with the vulture lawyer.
Stripes (the 1st part where the kid throws Bill Murray's basket ball back up to him in his appartment and smashes the window next to him

The Blues Brothers - everything but special scenes are at the start visiting the Sister "We're on a mission from God." And the Nazi scene where the Nazis are forced to jump in the river to avoid getting run over by the C&W motorhomes, class

Sideways - With Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haydn Chruch ball breakingly hilarious, so many scenes, "Miles, have you been drinking and dialing again?" and on the golf course playing back up the fairway, so many scenes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sideways
Papermoon - Ryan and Tatum O'Neil. Set in the Great Depression in the US of A. Ryan O'Neil's character is trying to make ends meet flogging bibles to newly bereaved widows saying their late husbands ordered them. He is a con artist and Tatum proves to be a fairly useful addition to successfully extort monies from victims. She also believes Ryan's character is her father so she proves just as sharp if not more so than him and has him over a barrel on many ocassions. A great film with class script and actors.

Years and years ago I used to like the Cheech and Chong film 'Up in Smoke'
Bit of a stoner film I guess but IIRC quite funny, good soundtrack too - stuff like 'War - Low Rider'.
Stacy Keach is great as the policeman on their trail as they drive a van over the Mexican border into the USA - unknown to them, it's made out of grass!

I'm not really a fan of Mike Myers but "So I've Married an Axe Murderer" still makes me laugh, 17 years later. Myers portrayal of "Stuart MacKenzie" the Scottish father is brilliant(cringe worthy) and funny. His co-star Anthony LaPaglia genuinely looks as if he's cracking up everytime the father speaks.

Ha! I remember watching this in the early hours once, by chance, and laughing a lot. There was one bit with the dad shouting at his melon headed son, that I found hilarious.
